YouTube Music Charts 11.2-8.18: Ariana Grande Is #1, Linkin Park Passes 1B Views

YouTube Music logoOn the YouTube Music Charts this week, Ariana Grande’s “thank u, next” reached #1 on the US Top Songs Chart, Linkin Park’s “Numb” crosses 1 billion views, and Queen continues up charts again  following the release of their biopic

 

Highlights

– Linkin Park’s official music video for “Numb” hit 1B last week — the group’s first to reach the milestone. Linkin Park are currently #87 on the Global Top Artist chart.

– Ariana Grande’s new single “thank u, next” debuts at the top of the US Top Songs chart. Three more of her songs hit the same chart this week: “breathin” at #23, “God is a woman” at #67, and “no tears left to cry” at #75. Ariana Grande also jumped 28 spots to #4 on the US Top Artist chart.

– K-pop has taken over the Global Top 5 this week: TWICE’s “YES or YES” debuts at #4 with and EXO’s “Tempo” debuted at #5 with over 42M views. With the success of their new music videos, TWICE have re-entered the Global Top Artist chart at #23 and EXO have re-entered at #40.

– Karol G and Maluma teamed up for “Créeme,” which debuts at #7 on the Global Top Songs chart. Both artists also made leaps on the Global Top Artists chart, with Karol G jumping to #12 and Maluma jumping to #15.

– Sheck Wes’ “Mo Bamba” has entered the Global Top Songs chart for the first time. Debuting at #85, the track amassed 12M views globally across YouTube last week..

– With the release of the biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Queen continues their ascent on the charts, jumping 36 spots to #13 on the Global Top Artist chart this week. They are currently charting in 36 countries and territories.
