Rolling Stone Music Charts Launch Delayed Indefinitely

image from www.underconsideration.comThe launch of music charts on Rolling Stone has been delayed indefinitely. Originally scheduled to launch on Monday May 13th, the charts will be the first to offer a widely distributed alternative to the Billboard charts.

Now however, the charts will stay in private beta “for just a while longer to optimize with our industry partners and fully ensure the smoothness of our presentation.”

The Rolling Stone charts will be derived from analytics form Alpha Data, formerly known as BuzzAngle Music, which came under the umbrella of Rolling Stone and Variety parent company Penske Media Corporation last year.
