Executive Shuffle: Universal Music, BMI, Sony Music

The latest executive shuffles across the music industry…

Universal Music Publishing Australia/New Zealand has hired Arwen Curson as Vice President, Creative. Prior to her role with Universal Music, Curson worked as Director of Operations for Crowdmix. In her new role, Curson will be responsible for both A&R and Film/TV synch teams, and will report to Andrew Jenkins, President of Universal Music Publishing Australia and Asia-Pacific Region.

Broadcast Music, Inc (BMI) has extended Mike O’Neill’s contract as President and CEO. This means that O’Neill will be on the Board of Directors for a further five years.  As President and CEO, O’Neill’s responsibility is to oversee BMI’s domestic and global business operations.

Sony Music Nashville (SMC) has elevated Tracy Fleaner to Vice President of Creative Services. Fleaner has worked at SMC for over 20 years, and has held various positions throughout her time with the company. Such roles include, Designer, Art Director, Senior Art Director, and Creative Director. In her new role Fleaner will be responsible for overseeing print and video operation, artist imaging, photography, advertising and album packaging.

Warner Music UK (WMUK) has elevated Andy Prevezer to Vice President/Press for Warner Bros. & Parlophone UK and Senior Vice President/Press Strategy WMUK. In his new role Prevezer will report to Miles Leonard, President Parlophone UK, and Phil Christie, President Warner Bros. UK. In his new role Prevezer will be responsible for overseeing consumer PR for the two labels, and supporting press plans for East West and Rhino artists and ADA clients.
