Executive Shuffle: Universal Music UK, CÜR Media...

The latest executive shuffles across the music industry…

Worldwide Independent Network (WIN) has hired Alison Wenham as Chief Executive.  Wenham came from the Association of independent Music (AIM), where she worked for over 17 years.  Wenham says, ”I am extraordinarily proud of our achievements at AIM, which I know will continue to effectively represent and help the UK’s independent music companies, but I am relishing the challenge of taking on this new position at WIN and representing our sector on a global level.”

Universal Music UK has elevated Selina Webb from Senior Director Of Communications to Executive Vice President. Webb will report to David Joseph, CEO and Chairman. In her new role, Webb will take on extra responsibilities that include but are not limited to making strategic decisions and managing industry relations.

CÜR Media has hired Jim Urie as Interim CEO/President and executive chairman of the company’s board of directors. Urie comes from Universal Music Group, where he worked as Head of Distribution. During his time at Universal he worked various roles, which included building the distribution company and overseeing several major acquisitions.
