Executive Shuffle: Universal Music UK, Republic Records...

The latest executive shuffles across the music industry…

Universal Music UK has hired Brian Celler as Executive Vice President, Head of International. Celler comes from serving seven years as Managing Director of U2 management house Principle/Maverick. Celler will report to David Joseph, CEO and Chairman.

Republic Records has elevated Donna Gryn to Vice President of Marketing. Bryn has worked for the record label for 4 years, and started as Senior Director of Marketing back in 2012. Gryn will still be based in the New York office.

Elsewhere,

Condé Nast has hired Maria Valero as Vice President of Business Affairs. Valero comes from Audible Inc – a subsidiary of Amazon where she also worked as Vice President of Business Affairs. In her new role Valero will be responsible for managing business affairs and all legal matters regarding content, digital video, advertising and distribution.

CBS Radio has let Karen Mateo go after working for the company for over 13 years. Mateo started with CBS Radio in 2003 as Director of Communications and worked her way up to Senior Vice President of Communications. CBS Radio is reportedly looking for her replacement.

Broadcast Music Inc (BMI) has promoted Jessica Frost to Executive Director of Industry Relations. In her new role, Frost will continue to create and build relationships with businesses that use BMI music across the country. She will be based in Nashville and report to Dan Spears, Vice President of Licensing, Industry Relations.
