We’re excited to announce that we have partnered with industry-leading developers of music production tech Waves Audio and Point Blank students will now be entitled to exclusive discounts on their products. Waves Audio are renowned for their audio plugins, which are used the entire industry over on hit records, major motion pictures and popular video games worldwide. Waves plugins are used by the likes of Drake’s producer, Noah ’40’ Shebib, Beyoncé and Pharrell’s Mix Engineer, Leslie Brathwaite, Adele’s Mix Engineer, Tom Elmhirst and many, many more. To celebrate the launch of this new partnership, we will be hosting an exclusive student event on November 26 at our state-of-the-art studio facility from 7 pm – 9 pm at 26 Orsman Road, London, N1 5QJ which will feature a masterclass in mixing and mastering with Waves’ plugins from four industry professionals. Our Point Blank x Waves Audio partnership launch event will explore and demonstrate a number of creative mixing techniques using a range of Waves plugins. It will be hosted by representatives of both Point Blank Music School and Waves, who all include A-list credits for their strong contributions to the music industry. Our very own JC Concato, who has worked with the likes of Björk, Us3 and The Cure, will be there to provide an insight into mixing techniques. Producer, Engineer, Mixer and Point Blank Lecturer, Max Heyes, who has worked on four Mercury Prize-nominated albums for Doves, Paul Weller, Primal Scream and Asian Dub Foundation will be demonstrating some of his favourite instrumental techniques. Jarrad Hearman’s credits include Keys N Krates, Craig David, Novelist, P Money, Tinashe and more – and he’ll be there to drop some tips and tricks. Finally, Emry Ramazanoglu, who has worked with Noel Gallagher, Lily Allen, Aluna George, Paloma Faith and more will be in attendance to cement the masterclass together.
