Fyre Festival’s Billy McFarland Writing Memoir From Jail

image from celebrityaccess.comBilly McFarland, co-founder of the failed Fyre Festival, is writing a memoir about the event while he is in federal prison serving 6 years for fraud and selling fake tickets to events.

New York Magazine says the working title is “Promythus: The God of Fyre” (sic), according to McFarland’s girlfriend. She says that McFarland has been hand-delivering pages and the book will chronicle his career from the first investment in a start-up in 2011 through the implosion of the festival. He’s scheduled to be released in 2024.

Andy King, the promoter whose video clip in the Netflix special about the event, has reportedly been enlisted for publicity. The memoir is expected due out this summer.
